So you want to take my gallbladder out of my belly button? A bit disturbing, I like my belly button, it’s kind of a special place. But it could be worse, like, you want to take my gallbladder out of my VAGINA? That’s what they are considering, anyway, but since 50% of us don’t have vaginas they are looking at a common way in, through your mouth.

We can look forward to these sort of techniques being used more often in more creative ways. Appendicitis? Bend over.

An Indian doctor may be sacked after letting his 15 year old son perform caesarean surgery.
He couldn’t help bragging and got busted after showing the video to friends. It’s not the first time he allowed his son to perform surgery, either, he doesn’t see the problem and thinks it should go down in the Guinness Book of Records. link

Cycling is good for getting fresh air and exercise, it’s also a practical mode of transport. During peak hour, it takes me an hour to drive to the city, an hour to catch the train, and an hour to cycle. Cycle lanes make commuting safer and quicker, so what do you do when the government are dragging their feet in promised upgrades of bike facilities? You make your own cycle lanes. They aren’t the first either, there’s 1000’s of hits in google on the subject.

Paul (I feel like I can call him by his first name, he’s such an unassuming guy ;) sang Nessun Dorma again. He won easily. I’m really happy for him, he made me cry and got me interested in opera. I can’t wait for his album which he’ll be recording in the coming weeks. Above is the song he sang to win, below is him winning.

I really enjoyed Michael Moore’s earlier documentaries, but I thought he used cheap tricks in Fahrenheit 9/11. There was plenty of solid material available he could have used. Anyway, I’m looking forward to watching his latest offering, Sicko, and it’s online already, if not officially. Michael Moore was OK with people sharing Fahrenheit 9/11, his message was more important to him than money. I wonder what he thinks this time? But buy the DVD when it comes out, anyway.

If you’re into Michael Moore’s documentaries, you have to see The Yes Men. They impersonate powerful, some would say criminal organisations, speak on their behalf on TV interviews, at seminars, etc. It’s awesome stuff.

Paul Potts in fine form again, breezes through the semi finals singing Time To Say Goodbye. Bullied in school for being different, now he’s finally getting praise for his difference, his amazing voice.

I’m not a big opera fan, but I was really moved by this. Paul Potts, a mobile phone salesman who is not too confident in himself, gets up in front of hundreds of people in the studio of Britain’s Got Talent (not to mention all the TV viewers), and completely knocks their socks off, bringing them to tears.

Very inspirational, I like it when a shy person gets up and overcomes their fears
